Data policy: unsolicited applicants
According to articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation, Danske Ports is obliged to make a range of information available to you as a data subject. In the following, you can read about how we process your personal data.

What personal data:
We process the personal data that appears in your application, CV and any attachments.
In addition, we will check your social media profiles such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, and we will also do a general Google search for your name. Any information we find through these channels will also be included in the assessment.
Even if you have provided reference contacts, we will not contact them until we have informed you and ensured that you agree to this. We collect information about this, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Purpose of processing your personal data
Based on your unsolicited application, we process your personal data.
We want to protect your privacy and current working relationships, which is why your application will be treated confidentially.
Initially, your application will only be processed by the undersigned.
If we believe there may be an opportunity to offer you employment in the short or long term, the relevant people will also be involved.
If Danske Havne wishes to initiate actual recruitment steps, you will receive separate information about this.
Legal basis for the processing of your personal data
Danske Havne processes your personal data for the purpose of evaluating your application, cf. Article 6(1)(f).
Recipients of your information
All the data we process about you is stored in our electronic archive, which is managed by our data processor, Kimo Consult ApS, who may only process the data according to our instructions.
We do not share your information with others.
Storage period
All personal data that we may collect about you in connection with the recruitment process will be included in your personnel file if you are hired by us. This information will then be stored for as long as you are employed and for up to 5 years after your resignation.
As you have sent your application unsolicited, you have hereby given your consent for us to process your application and the information we collect about you, cf. above, in relation to potential vacancies in our company. We will keep your application for 2 years from receipt, after which we will delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of information about you.
You have the right to access the data we process about you and a range of additional information.
You have the right to have inaccurate information about yourself corrected.
In exceptional cases, you have the right to have information about you erased before the time of our regular general erasure occurs.
In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. If you have the right to restrict processing, we may in future only process the data - except for storage - with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or for the protection of a person or important public interests.
In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of your personal data.
