Sea shanties, offshore wind debate and HRH Prince Joachim to discuss blue growth and the SDGs - Folkemøde 2018

The ship was loaded with 13 events during Folkemøde 2018. Danish Ports, Danish Maritime and Danish Shipping's mailboat Peter, the base for the Blue Denmark's events, set sail for a dialog with HRH Prince Joachim about blue growth and the Sustainable Development Goals, an offshore wind debate, seamen's songs, a dialog about world trade with Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen (LA), and a boat trip with seamen working in the Bay of Arden.

Very high port activity in Rønne

Many different vessels are docked in the Port of Rønne this week. Of course, the Folkemødet will boost activity levels, but most port activities have nothing to do with the Folkemødet. Cruise ship calls, bulk work, NATO exercises and port expansion draw a large part of the port's business activities right now and the activity level is higher than last year, says Rønne Havn A/S.

The Blue Denmark gets the stars on board at Folkemødet

In a week's time, the People's Meeting will be held on Bornholm. This year, the Blue Denmark has almost half of the Danish parliamentary party leaders, at least 9 current or former ministers and HRH Prince Joachim himself on board the mail boat Peter, which sets the stage for the Blue Denmark's activities.

"First class event" - International visit to the Port of Vordingborg

On Thursday, May 31, the Port of Vordingborg was visited by a British delegation under the name "UK Trade Mission". The delegation was headed by Senior Trade Advisor, Mark Chapman from the British Embassy's Department for International Trade (DIT).
