Taulov Dry Port launches next major stage of 60,000 m warehouse and logistics construction

A record high demand for centrally located last-mile warehouse and logistics facilities has pushed the leasing of the newly constructed, gigantic 50,000m2 warehouse and logistics building in Taulov Dry Port. The strategic collaboration with A.P. Møller Mærsk and the arrival of Salling Group's bread logistics in Taulov Dry Port has really pushed up the demand for centrally located warehouse facilities.
The effect of several large lease agreements and the development of the strategic collaboration with A.P. Møller Mærsk means that the first large stage of a total of 50,000m2 of high-ceilinged warehouse and logistics construction is almost fully leased. In November 2020, Taulov Dry Port announced that Salling Group is moving their warehouse and logistics of, among other things, bread to Taulov. Several reputable companies are following suit and will place their warehousing and logistics in Taulov Dry Port from the beginning of 2021, thus cementing its position as Denmark's largest transport and logistics center.
The need for an efficient logistics chain and increased requirements for improving the climate footprint of companies such as large retailers are driving the demand for flexible, centrally located warehouse and logistics buildings.
Next phase of 60,000m2 warehouse and logistics building starts
ADP and PFA, the joint-venture partners behind Taulov Dry Port, are ready to launch the next multi-user logistics building of 60,000m2, which will significantly expand the storage capacity in the area already from the summer of 2022.
With a length of 600 meters, an internal building height of 12.5 meters and a facade height of 16-17 meters, the next large warehouse and logistics building will be a significant landmark in Taulov Dry Port.
"We have 295,000m2 of attractive building rights zoned for logistics and have great ambitions to create the largest and most innovative warehouse and logistics buildings on the market through billion-dollar investments. A total of 95,000m2 has now been built, of which the first 50,000m2 of multi-user warehouse and logistics properties were built speculatively. With the first stage almost fully let, we are taking the next step and launching a further 60,000m2 of warehouse and logistics construction. We are well on our way to fulfilling our high ambitions to be at the forefront of logistics real estate development in Denmark", says Mikael Fogemann", Executive Director, Nordic Real Estate.
The large logistics buildings are being developed both for generic rental but also for larger customers who need a tailor-made and scalable solution.
Strong partnership
The customers in Taulov Dry Port will have a strong joint-venture company behind them, where the parties ADP and PFA have long since realized the first milestones in their ambitious strategy to create the market's most innovative warehouse and logistics buildings connected to Denmark's best-located motorway infrastructure, the Port of Fredericia and the rail network.
"Our customers in Taulov Dry Port feel the value of the partnership because, with the customer at the center, we offer the market's most innovative solutions in modern warehouse properties with the option of opting for operational and distribution solutions. Ultimately, it's about how we, together with our partners, can take the complexity out of our customers' logistics chain for the benefit of their business and climate footprint. We are pleased to have signed agreements with several large retail companies, who are already in the process of fitting out their new warehouse so that they are ready to move in on February 1, 2021", says Jesper Gemmer, CEO of Taulov Dry Port.
Jobs for Fredericia
