Mid-term review of the EU Maritime Transport Policy 2010-2018

March 15, 2015

The EU's maritime transport policy should focus more on regulatory simplification and administrative burdens so that EU ports and companies spend less time on paperwork and more time on creating blue growth It is important for ports and companies as well as for Denmark's overall competitiveness that the European Commission can design and administer good laws and regulations. Therefore, Danish Ports welcomes the EU maritime transport policy to focus on simplifying rules and administrative burdens so that EU ports and companies spend less time on paperwork and more time on creating blue growth. The Ports Denmark consultation response covers the following areas:

  • Fair competition
  • EU programs
  • A maritime single market
  • Better environmental results
  • Securing shipping
  • City-Harbor development
  • Environmental impact studies
  • Waste management

Read Ports Denmark's consultation response Read the European Commission's consultation material The Commission's evaluation of the Maritime Strategy also includes a questionnaire.
