Port Denmark's consultation response to the draft executive order on EIA assessment in the port area

Danish Ports has together with Danish Port Companies submitted a consultation response to a revised executive order for EIA assessment in the port area. The executive order implements the latest EIA directive and gathers rules on environmental assessments in the environmental area into one executive order.

Danish Ports and Danish Port Companies recognize the efforts to simplify the environmental impact assessment process for commercial ports and the Port of Copenhagen, so that the rules on environmental assessment in the port area will in future be found in an executive order. Furthermore, it is seen as a positive development that the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority will be the point of contact throughout the application process and therefore it is understood that this executive order reflects the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority's case handling.
