Port and Fisheries Pool

What can I apply for?

The pool can be applied for by ports, fishing and related industries, and the pool can support the development of ports that
are particularly exposed to the negative consequences of Brexit. Among other things, it can support a green transition
of ports and ensure better waste management to help them achieve the recycling target. The funds can, for example, go to
investments that can enable the use of shore power for vessels' energy consumption when they are in port

Who can apply?

The applicant pool is ports, fishing and related industries. Applicants are encouraged to join forces on one or more
projects to ensure the widest possible use of the funds.

Amount & conditions

The applications received will be assessed based on the following criteria:
1) The green transition is accelerated, thereby limiting CO2 and other emissions, e.g. by
establishment of power supply for ships.
2) Improved waste management is achieved with a special focus on recycling.
3) Contribute to ensuring the further development of the fishing industry and related ancillary industries.
4) Contribute to local and regional employment and business development.

The application must as a minimum include the following:
1) An overall project description, including the project's purpose, activities, expected results, a
timetable, partners, budget and financing plan. The project's geographical anchoring must
also be stated.
2) The grant applied for must be stated in the application's budget. The grant may constitute up to 50 percent of the
total budget for the project.
3) The expected start and end date of the project. Funds are expected to be committed before the end of 2021.
2021. The project should be able to start relatively quickly after any commitment, and the project is expected to be
be completed within a timeframe of three years.
4) If several parties participate in an application, each party's responsibilities and contributions must be described in the application
application, and the parties must appoint a coordinator.
5) Any CO2 savings and any reductions in other emissions must be described in the
the application.
6) The applicant's reasoned assessment that a grant will not violate EU state aid rules.
7) The applicant must state whether support from other sources is being sought for the same activities.
8) The application must include information about the expected effects of the project, as well as how and when
when the project will be evaluated
