Welcome to the Minister for Enterprise, Rasmus Jarlov

Danish Ports Association has sent congratulations to the new Minister for Industry, Rasmus Jarlov. Danish Ports looks forward to the cooperation. The Danish commercial ports contribute to growth and employment throughout Denmark. 80 percent of Denmark's foreign trade passes through the ports. Catchment area analyses show that commercial ports employ up to 15 percent of local employment and have a combined turnover of just over DKK 2 billion. The ports are a strong contributor to the efforts to create growth. Growth in fisheries, growth in tourism, growth in wind, offshore energy, trade and in sectors for which we are only just beginning to see markets - decommissioning, recycling and the entire ocean economy palette. For ports and port customers, this means that the right framework conditions must be in place. There must be a level playing field among European ports, and the Planning Act must continue to ensure that ports and port customers can carry out their work in the way it is done at a port. Danish Ports also invited the newly appointed Minister for Trade and Industry to visit the ports so that he can see a local and regional growth center for himself. With the Growth Team for Blue Denmark, the ports were designated to play a key role in growth and job creation in all corners of Denmark. Danish Ports looks forward to continuing to contribute to this growth and job creation. Danish Ports also thanks the outgoing Minister for Trade and Industry, Brian Mikkelsen, for good cooperation. Danish Ports has never been in doubt about the Minister's commitment to Blue Denmark. We look forward to working with Brian Mikkelsen in his new role as CEO of Danish Chamber of Commerce.
