New initiative: Big business day in Thy to be held in Hanstholm
On June 13, Thy Erhvervsforum, in collaboration with Thisted Municipality and the Port of Hanstholm, will be hosting a Thy Business Day for the first time. The focus will be on the local business community and highly topical issues.
At 6.30 am, the day starts in the halls of Hanstholm Fiskeriauktion, where it is possible to get a unique insight into how Denmark's leading fishing auction takes place.
The day then offers an exciting program at various locations in Hanstholm.
- We have chosen Hanstholm as the location as it is obvious, with all the development opportunities out here - both in terms of establishing and running a business. We believe that the day can contribute to strengthening cooperation across industries and at the same time show a bit of all the exciting companies we have in Thy, says Lisbeth Bang Nielsen, Business Manager at Thy Erhvervsforum and adds:
- I am proud that we have succeeded in organizing this day for the business community and have noticed fantastic support from companies, the port and Thisted Municipality. We have a business community in Thy with so many opportunities, and we need to focus on that with this day, says Lisbeth Bang Nielsen.
Exciting topics on the program
After the early birds have visited the fish auction, the rest of the day's program will take place at two of the port's larger companies, Sashimi Royal and Teksam. In addition, the new hinterland area will of course also be visited, where we will hear about the company Stevedore, among other things. This will be followed by lunch at Hanstholm Lighthouse. At the various locations, there will be exciting and highly relevant presentations focusing on business development, the green transition and automation in the industry.

We hope to be able to provide an insight into the enormous potential that also exists here at the port - both in relation to the fact that in the future, in addition to being Denmark's leading fishing port, we will be a significant freight port and a strong player in the market for the green transition, says Søren Zohnesen, Port Manager at the Port of Hanstholm.

The day is for anyone with an interest in the business community in Thy.
- We hope to see both locals and outsiders. It can be business owners, employees, business organizations and others who may have an interest in the business community in Thy and its opportunities, says Lisbeth Bang Nielsen.
The business day is the first of its kind. The plan is to hold a business day in Thy every year in the future, with a new location each year and with current topics on the agenda.
