CCO ADP Rune Dalgaard Rasmussen has been appointed CCO of ADP A/S, which owns and operates the ports of Nyborg, Middelfart and Fredericia, as of 1 August 2017. Rune joins ADP after 6 years at DB Schenker A/S, where he has been working in sales and most recently as Head of Land Transport & Business Development. Rune is a trained freight forwarder and has also completed a number of internal management training courses. Throughout his career, Rune has worked in sales and business development and has always been driven by creating results through working with people and a deep business understanding. "I've been really looking forward to starting at ADP and the first time will be spent getting a good insight into customers and the market. My experience is mainly in land transport and the port sector is a new chapter for me. I am very much looking forward to developing relationships and cooperation with existing and new customers, which is a prerequisite for new business opportunities", says Rune D. Rasmussen. "One of my most important tasks will be to continue the good development in attracting new customers and expanding the cooperation with existing ones, so that we can improve the market position in the core business. This is work that ADP has been focusing on for some time," says Rune. Rune joins a company that has strengthened its commercial organisation over the past few years, which has led to a significantly increased focus on sales and marketing. The effect of this has been seen at the Port of Nyborg, which is developing well. In Fredericia, the setting for development and attracting customers is different. With the linking of the Port of Fredericia and Denmark's Multimodal Transport and Logistics Centre in Taulov, there is great potential for attracting transport and logistics companies to the traffic hub at Taulov. "With my background from the freight forwarding industry, I clearly see a great potential for consolidation of freight in Taulov with easy access to the railway, motorway network and port. Together with the rest of the organisation and the customers, I am very much looking forward to achieving the goal of increased activity at the three ADP ports", says Rune. The board and management are very much looking forward to working with Rune. "I am looking forward to the cooperation and I am convinced that our business development and sales are in good hands with Rune, who with his background from DB Schenker can bring new competencies to the organization", says Nils Skeby, CEO of ADP.
