Clean air in the EU
Climate initiatives should seek to equalize competition between modes of transport Overall, Port Denmark believes that an appropriate transport policy should balance the social advantages and disadvantages of different forms of transport. This also applies to air emissions to avoid distortion of competition between modes of transport. Of the Commission's proposals for a legislative package, Danish Ports has comments on one of four proposals: A revision of the directive to reduce national emissions from six polluting sources. The comments relate to the following bullits:
- Quota accounting - land and sea
- Extended emission control area can cover the entire EU
- Green port cities
- Climate change and rising sea levels
