Consultation response regarding draft bill on the expansion of Route 11 between Korskro and Varde

Danish Ports thanks for the opportunity to comment on the proposal for a bill to expand Route 11 between Korskro and Varde. Danish Ports supports the development of Denmark's road infrastructure because the expansion of the Danish road network helps to ensure better access conditions to and from the Danish ports, which promotes better mobility, greater safety and ultimately better efficiency for the benefit of the ports, the business community and the surrounding community in general.

General comments
Danske Havne supports the road construction of Route 11 between Korskro and Varde because the road project will strengthen the infrastructure to Hvide Sande Port, providing better access to and from the port compared to the southern part of the highway network.

Better access to the highway network is good for the port, for business and for the surrounding community.

Danish ports play a key role in the transportation of goods and commodities for businesses and society in general. Therefore, road projects related to access to and from the ports help to facilitate traffic to and from the ports and thus strengthen the ports' role as infrastructural hubs.
