Consultation response regarding draft executive order on coastal water councils for coastal waters etc.

Danish Ports Association's consultation response to the draft executive order on coastal water councils for coastal waters, the establishment of coastal water councils and cooperation between municipal councils and coastal water councils on the preparation of proposals for supplementary measures for coastal waters

Danish Ports acknowledges the opportunity to submit a consultation response. We welcome future coastal water councils as a model for ensuring involvement, knowledge sharing and development of good local solutions and programs that ensure both good natural and environmental conditions in coastal waters and the relevant economic and commercial activities in the area.

In connection with the establishment of Coastal Water Councils, Danske Havne is a relevant nationwide business organization, cf. section 25 (2) of the Act, as a nationwide representative of the Danish commercial ports. We would like to be invited to join the future coastal water councils. We will only be represented by one person in a given coastal water council, but the person will vary between the regions to ensure representation with as much local knowledge as possible in relation to the coastal waters in question.
