Flexible and cost-effective pilotage is of high importance
Pilotage is essential for ports and society as a whole. Navigational safety is a necessary starting point for maritime transportation. Overall, maritime transport is greener than road transport, contributing to a greener Denmark and reducing congestion on the roads. Pilotage must therefore be both flexible to meet the needs of the shipping industry and cost-effective because freight transportation is highly competitive.
