Comments on the Proposed Amendment to the Executive Order on Reception Facilities

September 21, 2016

A single window for reporting ship calls is a good idea. However, it is important that SafeSeaNet not only 1. be a national solution for an international industry, 2. be defined solely on the basis of the authorities’ needs, and 3. take practical implementation into account. In connection with the amendment to the executive order on port reception facilities, Danske Havne urges the authorities to keep these three points in mind when adapting the system. These adjustments, incidentally, cannot be implemented before the executive order takes effect, so the rest of us will simply continue as before. See Danske Havne’s consultation response here: consultation-response-on-amendment-to-executive-order-on-reception-facilities Contact Nete Herskind for further information.
