Consultation on draft guidance on the new Public Access to Information Act

December 8th, 2013
Self-governing ports must act and operate commercially. Therefore, it should also be possible for them to be exempt from public access requirements. Self-government ports should also be included under section 4 of the Public Access to Information Act. When politicians demand that self-governing ports must act and act commercially, there should also be a possibility to exempt them from public disclosure requirements. While many other types of companies with public ownership can be exempted, autonomous ports are not one of them. In relation to the guidelines, Danish Ports has submitted a consultation response, pointing out that the organizational form of self-government port should also be included under §4. See the consultation response here.
