Consultation on draft executive orders in the pilotage area

The Pilotage Act is now being put into practice. The gradual liberalization of transit pilotage can begin in 2016. Danish Ports are pleased that progress has been made in modernizing pilotage. The new basis for a gradual liberalization of pilotage in transit waters can begin. But it is still very difficult to establish or maintain a small port pilotage service. The focus must remain on the goal: To make pilotage more attractive for the sake of navigational safety and the environment. See Port Denmark's consultation response here.
