Consultation on draft executive order on the issuance of pilotage certificates and pilotage exemption certificates

Danish Ports thanks for the opportunity to submit a consultation response to the draft
Executive Order on the issue of pilotage certificates and pilotage exemption certificates. Danish Ports
welcomes the service overhaul that the Danish Maritime Authority is carrying out in the
pilotage area, but would have liked to see the expected amendment of the Executive Order
on the use of pilots with regard to stricter pilotage requirements for towing sent for
consultation at the same time, so that it was possible to relate to both changes at the same time
- especially in relation to the new §15.
In addition, in continuation of the changed categories in appendix 3, we note that the table with
categorization of Danish pilotage areas will in future appear on the Danish Maritime Authority's
website. As it is not possible to compare the table with the changed categories,
, it is not possible to comment on this. If the new categories result in
changes in relation to pilotage areas, Danish Ports would like the industry to be consulted.
Against this background, Danish Ports has no further comments at this
time on the draft executive order on the issuance of pilotage certificates and
pilotage exemption certificates.
