Consultation on State aid for key infrastructure of common interest

February 13, 2014
State aid for infrastructure should take into account EU strategies such as TEN-T and EMFF Danish Ports welcomes the EU COM's draft communication, which takes into account state aid for infrastructure that better connects EU ports with the central transport network. EU member states commit to making investments so that the designated transport networks (TEN-T) are ready by 2030 for the core network and 2050 for the comprehensive network. Danish Ports suggests investigating whether the communication also includes funds from the European Maritime Fisheries Fund (EMFF). Danish fishing ports should also have the opportunity for this in a future program for 2014-2020 to maintain and expand the Danish position of strength.
