The EU’s Fisheries Development Program for 2014–2020

EU: Consultation Response on the Upcoming Fisheries Development Program, Including the Role of Fishing Ports and the Possibility of Grants for Key Infrastructure High praise for the Danish Agri-Food Agency for its involvement in the process of formulating a new EMFF program for 2014–2020. Danish Ports fundamentally believes that the draft development program does not take into account the central role of fishing ports in the fisheries supply chain and value creation. The funding framework for the program period is not specified in the consultation document, meaning that the prioritization of funds remains unknown. Danske Havne recommends that funding be based on lessons learned from the EFF 2007–2013, with a focus on documented value creation and, consequently, projects worthy of support.
