Executive Order on the Ice Service and Circular on the Icebreaking Council
Danish Ports Wants the Organizational Review Brought Forward and Special Rules for Ports in Emergency Preparedness Zones Removed The review scheduled for June 2013 should be brought forward so that the executive order can reflect the lessons learned from the recently concluded ice season. Therefore, special regulations for ports in emergency preparedness areas should be eliminated, and icebreaking in ports should be administered according to the same guidelines as outside the port. The Icebreaking Council is now assigned some clearly defined tasks. It is positive that potential bidders for icebreaking contracts no longer sit on the Council.
