Executive Order on the Ice Service and Circular on the Icebreaking Council
Danish Ports wants the evaluation of the organization moved forward and special rules for ports in emergency response areas removed The planned evaluation in June 2013 should be moved forward so that the executive order can reflect the experiences from the recently completed ice season. But also the special rules for ports have become redundant and require unnecessary administration. Therefore, special rules for ports in emergency response areas should be removed and icebreaking in ports should be administered according to the same guidelines as outside the port. The Icebreaking Council is now given some clearly formulated tasks. It is positive that potential bidders for icebreaking contracts no longer sit on the Council.
