Questions

Rejection of a request for access to documents

A request for access can be denied if the total time spent is expected to exceed 25 hours. The exception to this is if the requester has a special interest, e.g. journalists. This rule does not apply in the case of environmental information.

The right of access applies to documents accessed or created by the port after January 1, 2014. If the port was covered by the previous Public Access Act, it applies to all documents.

If access is denied in whole or in part, the port is obliged to justify why the information is exempt from access and provide an appeal guide.
