MARLOG business cluster establishes itself in the Triangle Region

Denmark's national cluster organization for the maritime industry and logistics is establishing itself in the Triangle Region and will have a permanent base in Port House, which is the port company ADP's new office domicile in Fredericia. In Port House, MARLOG will be close to ADP, but will also reap great synergies with the two cluster organizations within energy and supply, Energy Cluster Denmark and Center Denmark, which established offices in Fredericia last year.
Fredericia is centrally located in the Triangle Region, and the area's strengths are its central infrastructure and Denmark's largest concentration of companies within transport and logistics. With more than 14,000 jobs, the transport and logistics sector is the area's largest business cluster, and strong business cooperation in the Triangle Region attracts more new companies to the area.
The port company ADP, which owns the Port of Fredericia, has in recent years strengthened the area as a leading logistics hub with the development of Taulov Dry Port, attracting transport and logistics players and large companies to the area. The natural next step is to further develop the Triangle Region as a leading international green infrastructure hub for the Power-to-X solutions of the future.
"The fact that we can now welcome MARLOG and the Triangle Region's Power-to-X partnership strengthens the area's development as a future hub for both transport and logistics as well as the green transition in the energy and supply area. We have Denmark's largest multimodal area with Taulov Dry Port, airport and port, as well as a cluster of Denmark's largest companies within energy, utilities, transport and logistics and research. This places the area in a natural leading position in terms of creating growth and attracting jobs to the region", says Rune D. Rasmussen, CEO of ADP A/S.
Denmark's Logistics Centre
As a business cluster organization, MARLOG's tasks include promoting innovation and maturing new technologies in the transport and logistics industries, matching companies with innovation potential with the right partners and raising funds for innovation projects.
MARLOG is looking forward to the cooperation with the Triangle Region.
"We're landing right in the heart of logistics Denmark, and I'm convinced that this is an advantage for both the transport and logistics companies in the Triangle Region and for us as a business cluster organization. We will have a good platform to quickly get in touch with the companies, and outreach work is one of the first things we will prioritize when our new employee has landed in Fredericia," says Mikkel Navarro Hansen, CEO of MARLOG.
"Companies are also very welcome to approach us with their own challenges and needs. However, we do not carry out product development and business development processes with individual companies. We are, so to speak, "one step ahead", where we typically help a group of companies to strengthen their innovative power and conditions for developing their products and business models. For example, in relation to green transition, digitization, competencies, entrepreneurship and internationalization," concludes Mikkel Navarro Hansen
Triangle Region Secretariat
MARLOG's representation in the Triangle Region is part of a cooperation agreement that the Triangle Region Denmark and MARLOG have entered into in close collaboration with ADP A/S and Fredericia Municipality.
"The Triangle Region is Denmark's transport and logistics hub. All seven municipalities agree to develop this business strength position even further. We can now draw on MARLOG's in-depth knowledge and strong competencies within innovation in this strategy work. This will benefit companies, growth and job creation in the Triangle Region, says Morten Rettig, Director of Triangle Region Denmark.
