Horizon Europe (2021-2027)

What can I apply for?

The final Horizon Europe program has not yet been adopted, but it will cover these five mission areas. Horizon Europe mainly supports research, but also innovation projects. Danish Ports will update this page regularly.

Climate adaptation: By 2030, Europe must be ready to deal with extreme weather due to climate change. It's about scaling up solutions and building resilience.

Cancer: By 2030, more than 3 million more cancer patients will survive - and live longer and better.

Healthy oceans: Renewing our oceans and water: by 2030, we must have clean waters, restore ecosystems and decarbonize the blue economy.

Climate Neutral Cities: By 2030, we will have 100 climate neutral cities in Europe. The mission will support and promote 100 cities in their systematic transformation towards climate neutrality, as "experimentation and innovation hubs"

Healthy soil and food: By 2030, at least 75% of Europe's soils should be healthy and able to provide the essential services we need.

Amount & conditions

Total amount of 80 billion euros over the period.

Public-private partnerships across the EU and its member states and associated countries will continue to be an important part of the framework program. However, the current number will be reduced to around 49 new partnerships to be launched at different paces over the seven-year program
